Jaq Chartier - Tiny SunTests, 2025

$200.00

acrylic, inks, dyes, stains & spray paint on wood
2.25 x 2.25 ″

These mini paintings were made with custom ink formulas that I’ve designed to change over time. Some I call “shifters”, using a combination of fugitive and lightfast inks. Shifters will change from one hue to another (like brown-to-blue). Others are made with only fugitive inks, which will change color as they fade, and eventually disappear entirely. You can look on the back for my notes to see which type of colors I used in your piece. Some amount of change is inevitable, and it’s up to you how quickly this happens, depending on how much light the piece is exposed to.

An Invitation to Collaborate
By purchasing one or more of these Tiny SunTests, you are invited to collaborate with the artist by conducting a SunTest experiment, as each piece will change color, fade, or completely disappear.
