J. Rinehart Gallery is thrilled to announce that Emily Gherard is a 2024 Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation recipient!
”On behalf of the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation, we are pleased to announce the recipients of the foundation’s 2024 Biennial Grants. Unrestricted grants of $20,000 each have been awarded to 20 artists, listed below, working in painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, video, craft and new media.
The purpose of the funds is to give artists the opportunity to produce new work and push the boundaries of their creativity. Recipients were chosen from a pool of 125 nominees proposed by national nominators—artists, critics, museum professionals, Foundation trustees, and previous award winners.
Beginning with the 2022 grant cycle, the Foundation’s programs are coordinated and administered through a partnership with the National Academy of Design. The National Academy’s history with Louis Comfort Tiffany dates to 1880, when Tiffany was honored by being elected as a National Academician.”
